Spider-Man redesign by KahunaBlair Spider-Man redesign by KahunaBlair
This is my entry into Project Rooftop's recent redesign contest for Spider-Man. I ended up getting an Honorable Mention and the judges had some really excellent points on what I did wrong.

About the design:
I tried to give him a bit more padding and armor in the black sections of the suit. I made sure that the thin blue fabric lined up with each joint and stress point. The pack on the back was my answer to that annoying thing Peter does of making a sack out of webbing for his clothes. How do they not get stuck to the webbing??

Thanks for checking it out.

Blue is an interesting spin, well not so much blue but the black rather than red.
However, the extra eyes, I think they are... I dunno they make him seem less like the "friendly neighborhood spiderman" and more like a real spider, kinda creepy.
Still very nice!!

The eyes were definitely issues for the judges at Project:Rooftop too. I completely agree that it was less of a friendly look. Thanks for the input and compliments!

Totally digging the spider pack. I love the design, especially the blue stress point/ joint areas. You didn't just copy paste the obvious, love the new way to look at Spiderman.
